A little background on the brand:

Spides: Atwater is "So Cal beach lifestyle," or City-Surf. We try to create a style that you can wear to work and also wear out at night.  We put subtle details and hidden details in each piece to make it unique. Everything is premium but with a casual and urban surf appeal.

    What's in the current line?

Spides:  We like to stick to the classics but with our own personal tweaks.  With the recession right now, we have basically stuck to classic designs, but with a bright color change or some other twist to give the customer a reason to buy it.  Most people don't need a ton of shirts in one color, so we're offering some options and some cool twists to classic fits and patterns.  We're inspired by vintage designs of the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and today and we spend a fair amount of time checking out thrift stores.

The 80's vibe has been pretty popular lately, but we would rather not chase trends.  It's almost impossible to chase a look or trend, as soon as you have something in mind, then design it and send to the manufacturer, the trend might have already come and gone.  Then you become another follower of the trend rather than being unique.  We just do our own thing and go with what feels right.

A little background info from Atwater:

Atwater represents the freshest face of modern surf apparel. Created by native California design veterans Dean Bradley and Scott Madison, Atwater’s aim is true…. to give profound respect to the beach culture and heritage of Southern California.
