California beaches with free wheelchairs
Try a free beach wheelchair: Don't leave your loved ones at home when you go to the beach, just because they have trouble walking on sand.
The wheelchairs have extra-fat tires, so they'll go on sand. You will need someone to help propel the chairs.
I could have used this when I broke my foot last year.
Here's a list of California beaches where you can borrow beach wheelchairs for free.
I suggest calling ahead if you have a chance, to make sure they're available.
But we did this not long ago, and it worked great.
Sometimes, you might need to leave an ID to guarantee you'll return the chair.
