Three O.C. surfers among world's best juniors

Three O.C. surfers among world's best juniors

They represent the future of surfing.

There's San Clemente's Kolohe Andino, with his all-American look and style that has landed him mainstream sponsors such as Target and Nike 6.0.

Look toward 54th Street in Newport Beach,  and you'll find Andrew Doheny, a Volcom-sponsored surfer who has been on the scene what seems like his whole life, a creative soul who does it for the love of the sport.

Then there's Capo Beach's Luke Davis, a quiet kid who explodes while competing and who nailed enough contests this year to be among the best young surfers in the world.

These three up-and-coming surfers are among 48 of the best juniors in the world who are traveling to North Narrabeen in Australia for the ASP World Junior Championships from Jan. 8 to 16. The event is the last leg of the World Junior tour.

In the surf world, they are already celebrities seen on the covers of magazines, and featured in surf videos shot in exotic surf breaks around world.

Get to know our O.C. surfers who are representing the USA in the Junior World Championships in the photos below:
