This French American bistro resides in a 60 year old country cottage in Laguna Beach where style and romance are deliciously combined. The decor is rich, intimate and romantic. The menu offers contemporary renderings of classic bistro dishes like baked chicken and mushroom crepe served in chardonnay leek sauce for $19. They have an extensive and impressive wine list as well as a delicious cocktail menu.
French 75 has a cozy boudiour-chic atmosphere, inviting guests to spend their evening relaxing over a bottle of wine with an artisan cheese plate.
In addition to their mellow vibe their impeccable service gave us the chance to enjoy our experience without ever once having to want something we didn't already have. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable with their wine and food pairings making our meal selection that much easier. Our waitress Alexandra was such a delight with her professional attitude and warm personality that our dinner went by pleasantly and smoothly.
Our food was delivered without a noticeable wait and perfectly prepared. The mouth watering Sauteed Wild Salmon Scaloppini served with sorrel white vermouth sauce and wild rice was a heavy and smooth yet tasty delight. We ended our meal with a Chocolate and Vanilla Souffle with a glass of Bernardus Chardonnay.
The experience at French 75 was an all around delight; a deliciously over the top presentation coupled with a homey and relaxing vibe had me smiling late into the evening.
