There is no question the Lakers are better with Kobe Bryant and his league-leading 28.1 points a game in the lineup. He is a key reason why the Lakers are close to locking up the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
Turns out, though, other players are just as effective with the ball in their hands.
Andrew Bynum has been a dominant force during Bryant's absence, averaging 22 points and 16.3 rebounds. But he isn't alone; others have stepped up and helped the Lakers win four of the five games Bryant has missed while resting a sore left shin.
