North Shore Winter: Haleiwa Reef Hawaiian Pro - day nine of the waiting period
Published: Nov. 21, 2012 Updated: March 27, 2013 10:48 a.m.
Thanksgiving Eve on the North Shore was a slow one as there was no swell in the ocean until signs of a Thanksgiving Day swell started to show late in the day. The Reef Hawaiian Pro was on its fourth lay day in a row. Most of the Orange County crews were nowhere to be found on Wednesday, as from what I heard a lot of them headed into town to pick love ones up from the airport as they flow in for turkey day.
Thursday, Nov. 22 will be a holiday no run for the Vans Triple Crown, but there will be a swell in the water in the 4- to 5-foot range. Happy Thanksgiving Orange County from the North Shore of Oahu Hawaii!
