When on the North Shore it is a must to stop by this little yellow bus and get yourself the best Acia Bowl this side of the island. You can find it right across the street from the famous surf break, Off the Wall.

North Shore Winter: Vans World Cup of Surfing, Sunset Beach - Day 1 of the holding period

Sunday, Nov. 25 was the start of the two week waiting period for the Vans World Cup of Surfing held at Sunset Beach. Sunday was a lay day as is expected for Monday, with a big swell coming in on Tuesday, which will most likely be the first day of competition. As I left the venue this morning I hit up all the Orange County boys that I could for a photo shoot and the response was, "Brah, it's Sunday I'm chilling today."

I headed over to V-land to see what the Hawaiians were up to and see if anyone was in the water. The one thing you must know about V-land is that it is still a heavy locals surf spot, if you come surf this spot make sure to wait your turn out there, most of these guys and gals that surf this spot are not pro surfers and really don't care about pro surfing at all. These surfers are real soul surfers and don't like stickered boards in the line-up, but if you have a smile on and wait in line with everyone else, you should have a great surf.
