Get on Board holds "Skateboarding Gives Back" event
"Best Trick Contest" at The Berrics March 3rd
The only thing that could make giving back to the skate community more enjoyable is to work with a company with a pun name. Luckily, Get on Board is here to hit every philanthropic and funny bone in my body. Get on Board has two goals: they collect and donate second-hand skateboard products to underprivilaged youth, and on a grander scale, they bring non-profit organizations and skateboard industry professionals together to raise money for other deserving non-profit organizations.
Get on Board is holding a "Skateboarding Gives Back" event at the Berrics in downtown LA, with a "Best Trick Contest". The event will include food, drinks, music, art, and of course, a lot of skateboarding! The purpose of the event is to draw attention to the participating organizations around the world that work with disadvantaged youth through skateboarding. The non-profits involved include A.Skate, Boards For Bros, Adaptive Action Sports and The Next Up Foundation. The event will take place on March 3rd at 5PM.
