Fashion and art often go hand in hand, and the relationship always leaves fashion more interesting and often inspired. That's one of the many reasons I have such admiration for Prada. Though they are known for their luxury label, Prada also has a big involvement with art.

Fashion and art often go hand in hand, and the relationship always leaves fashion more interesting and often inspired.  That's one of the many reasons I have such admiration for Prada.  Though they are known for their luxury label, Prada also has a big involvement with art.  Many of the stores, themselves are pieces of art, designed by some of the most well respected architects like Rem Koolhaas (OMA).  Prada has also collaborated with illustrators like, James Jean for their Spring/Summer 2008 collection.  Their latest feat is the Fantasy Lookbook for Fall/Winter 2011 with retouched photographs by Phil Meech produced by  Alexander Reichert & Fausto Fantinuoli (OMA).  Part illustration, part color manipulation and a whole lot of creativity, the Fall lookbook is more like a comic book that took over a fashion magazine.  Thanks to Highsnobiety for bringing my attention to this very unique lookbook.  May fashion and art continue to merge together and make our lives a bit more dimensional.
