Next Up Foundation Expands to Santa Ana

orangecounty.com

In today's society, there are many kids and teens that are roaming the streets, getting involved with gangs, drugs, alcohol, and other sketchy activities.  I can not even begin to imagine all the stress and anxiety that a parent has to deal with these days.  The Next Up Foundation is here to help give kids a way to channel their energy into something positive.

They currently have one location in Anaheim and are trying to raise funds to expand to a second location in Santa Ana, The Sierra Middle School.  The school is said to have the some of the lowest average test scores in the State and was on the list to be shut down.

The foundation is looking to raise $10,000 to fund the installation of the skatepark and set up the program there for the Next Up Foundation.

To donate or lend support to the new location, contact Vinicious Tinoco directly at vina@nextupfoundation.com or donate through the Next Up Foundation website.

Next Up has partnered with the Boys and Girls Club on campus to provide a mentor program. We support their anti-gang, anti-obesity and at-risk youth programs to promote self confidence and help improve grade scores.

Vinicius Tinoco was the founder of the Next Up Foundation. He is a Brazilian skateboarder who was inspired by his own challenges to create this non-profit organization for kids that are underprivileged. The foundation's ultimate goal is to help these children reach their highest potential in success. They “take a hands-on approach to teaching youth and adolescents the fundamentals of goal setting, confidence building, and becoming powerful team players” - Next Up Foundation.
