Some people never learn. Aretha Franklin says she’s going to get married again. For the third time.
The Queen of Soul told the Associated Press in a statement Monday that she plans to wed a longtime friend named William “Willie” Wilkerson. The couple is considering a summer wedding, perhaps in Miami Beach. Franklin said she wants to have the reception on a private yacht, but then who wouldn’t?
Franklin is pondering whether to have Vera Wang, Valentino or Donna Karan design her dress. We all have our crosses to bear.
As said, Franklin has been married twice before. In her statement, the 69-year-old anticipated the question we wanted to ask.
“No, I'm not pregnant,” she said.
