Fun surf (and crowds) shows with southwest swell

With the winds calming down on Sunday, and an anticipated southwest swell holding strong, the beaches were packed with surfers out to get some action.

I cruised down to West Newport on Sunday to check out the waves, and there were plenty to be had. Though they were a bit closed out at times, surfers were having fun as the surf rolled in.

The surf in this area was hitting about 3 - 4 foot, with occasional 5 footers.
