Nothing about Game 5 was easy for the Lakers. Not the beginning and certainly not the end as the Denver Nuggets forced a Game 6 with their 102-99 playoff victory Tuesday at Staples Center.
Andrew Bynum, who had said that closeout games can be "easy" struggled against the Nuggets' double teams and had just seven points by halftime. He managed 16 by the end, but it was too late and too little and not even Kobe Bryant could "bail them out" this time.
