Casa Romantica gets jazzed for ragtime

Jazz at the Casa, a three-part series of jazz concerts, kicked off Thursday night at San Clemente's Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens with Dixieland jazz musician Tex Wyndham and the Albany Nightboat Ragtimers churning out "rags" from the early 1900s.
The other shows in the series are:
• 7 p.m. June 7: Gregg Young and the 2nd Street Band (smooth jazz)
• 7 p.m. Aug. 22: Hotel Wolverine Jazz Band (traditional jazz)
Tickets are on sale at 949-498-2139, ext. 10. General admission is $25. Casa Romantica members pay $20, and the cost is $10 for students and children.
