Grand Prix of Long Beach in pictures
Will Power, that wonderfully named Australian racing driver, was the man of the hour at the finish of Sunday's Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, winning ahead of French rookie Simon Pagenaud and Canada's James Hinchcliffe.
Power scored Team Penske's first Long Beach victory since Helio Castroneves' CART victory in 2001, a streak that really isn't as long as it might seem.
Roger Penske's team did not compete in the city's streets from 2002-07, and Castroneves (13th Sunday) won three Indianapolis 500s (2001, '02, '09) to tide the team over.
Sausalito's JR Hildebrand finished fifth in the 38th TGPLB, the best result by an American driver.
It was a big weekend off the track as well, with Belanova to LeAnn Rimes to Joan Jett to Taylor Dayne hitting the right notes.
