Newport Beach's Blackies was the zone for most Newport Beach surfers as the WNW swell filled in today. Peaky and in the 3' to 4' range it was the skate park most thought it would by. More of the same tomorrow as the WNW series of swell continue.

Newport Beach's Blackies was the surf zone today

Orange County surf was a little smaller Tuesday than Wednesday, but waves were also a lot cleaner. With almost all the SW out of the water and the WNW swell coming in nice and strong, Newport's Blackies was sure to be the zone all the way up to 28th St.

It would seem that all of Newport Beach thought the same as the lineup was at capacity.
