Easy Beachy Fashions at The Hurley Pro
Sand, ocean and sea salt are the magic ingredients to casual fashion. At the Hurley Pro Trestles 2009, surfers and spectators alike, had on great free-spirited fashion. The different looks all stylishly thrown together for a relaxed day at the beach. Sun bleached hair, a bit of scruff or long tresses and some toned bodies make you feel like you're not in the same America that has problems with obesity. An oasis away from the hustle and bustle with the best surfers in the world keeping you entertained….
I love the stylish kids, the hot moms and the cute groms. At the beach fashion is simple. Guys just throw on their favorite pair of boardshorts and a random T and they're ready to go. Girls can go the same route with cut off jeans and a tank or take an even easier route with a cute little beach dress. Sunglasses, sunscreen and maybe a hat and that's all there is to it. There's no thought about stilettos and little thought on accessorizing. I mean if you’re a real beachgoer and your gonna hit the water, all the accessories will be coming off anyway. If you’re a girl there for the sun then yeah throw on some earrings, but any bracelets or necklaces that will give you a funky tan are a bad idea.
I did see some very stylish people at the event, who had great round sunglasses or other spectacular frames of the kind. One girl, I didn't catch with the camera, had on an amazing tank with cut outs on the side and a cute little hat and sandals. Other's had these large oversized tops that almost looked like costumes from flash dance but in a totally good way. I also loved the back details on some of the beach dresses with large interesting cutouts.
The beach let's you play with fashion in a different way then in a town or a city. You get to throw into the mix this casual element that allows a lot of freedom of expression. It's never gonna take over high street fashion but it's definitely a side of fashion to appreciate, especially if your living close to the ocean.
