Earlier this week, Ichiro Suzuki was traded from the Mariners to the Yankees – and just had to walk from one clubhouse to the other in order to change teams.
Could the same thing happen this weekend in Anaheim?
The Angels have been scouting the Rays for some time with an eye on right-hander James Shields as a possible solution to their starting pitching issues. Trade talks are believed to be on-going. Shields pitched Thursday and won't start during this weekend's series. But the non-waiver trade deadline is just a few days away and the potential for a deal will hang in the air as the Rays and Angels square off this weekend.
