Young MC, Manufactured Superstars and more at Silk in the coming weeks
Silk at Pechanga will be bringing in some big names to get the party started.
Young MC will “Bust a Move” on the Silk stage Saturday, March 31. The creator of one of Hip Hop’s most recognizable tunes (along with being the co-writer of Tone Loc’s “Wild Thing” and “Funky cold Medina”), will perform a selection of hits and some newer material.
“Bust a Move” was ranked number 47 on VH1's “100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop”, and number 60 on VH1's “100 Greatest Songs of the 80's”.
On Friday, April 6, one of the hottest new electronic DJ production teams comes to the House of Silk. Manufactured Superstars will take to the decks and perform their hit singles. The upcoming single and video ”Drunk Text”, which features Paris Hilton on vocals, was leaked online and instantly went viral. The group have tried their best to get the online posts pulled, until they are done mixing the song, but it nevertheless was viewed and downloaded widely for the short time it was up. Manufactured Superstars played EDC last year as well as the Ultra Music Festival, Beatport Pool Party (Miami Music Week), Beyond Wonderland, Lief Festival, and Red Rocks/Global Dance Festival.
Silk is open Friday and Saturday nights at 9pm. Cover is $20. Expect more big names to be announced soon. Here’s the confirm line-up.
