Signs of big swell start to show early

We started to hear about this swell a week ago and thought 'well, if it gets here we will have a good surf weekend.' Little did we know the power behind this swell.
Orange County beaches started to see signs of this S and SSW swells and the signs are great! The swell started to show last night - a whole day ahead of what was thought, and it has come ashore with some power.
Friday's buoys read 3 feet at 18 seconds which means a very long-period swell and at 18 seconds this thing is going to have a punch to it when the main part of the swell hits Saturday morning.
Watch the kids on the shoreline, and if your not a great swimmer you might want to just sit on the beach a watch this thing roll through.
