Huntington Beach surf 'firing' on Saturday
All I can say about today's surf is - I'm tired!
I got a call from Teddy Navarro this morning around 6:30am, with Teddy saying Huntington Beach is peak city. Here's the thing about Teddy: he's so in love with surfing that any day out is firing to him, so 2-foot slop is 'firing', 4-foot white caps because the wind is blowing 10 miles an hour is also 'firing.' So you get the point.
For some reason I thought Teddy might be looking at a fun surf, but not firing, so I headed down to south side and what I saw was a rarity. Teddy was telling the truth - it was firing with peaks and barrels everywhere!
So here late this evening I'm showing you a shot of this morning and it's because after I shot this I was out there for most of the day surfing and smiling thinking,'Teddy sure knows how to call them.'
