These past few days have been challenging to surf with strong winds and unorganized swells. This evening showed some signs of cleaning up as the swell intervals opened a bit more. Hopes are tomorrows swell will have 10 seconds or more intervals with good size for the morning surf, as the wind will come up throughout the day. South Side Huntington Beach Pier

Let there be surf!

After three days of poor to no surf, we saw signs of something that might be good for all of us tomorrow.

The one thing that might slow tomorrow down would be that it is a short-period swell, with set intervals being 6-to-8 seconds. This evening's surf was a bit washy with a lot of water moving through the line up.

The hope is that Friday will clean up and we would see sets in the 10-second-plus range and good size for us to play with before the winds come up.
