Vanna White: 'Can you believe what they can do with yarn?'
TV personality Vanna White hosts the Lion Brand Yarns' “Yarn is Art” fashion show at the Craft and Hobby Association Winter 2012 Show in Anaheim.
The Craft & Hobby Association’s 71st annual winter trade show opened Monday and runs through Wednesday. On Sunday the media and buyers got a sneak peak at the hundreds of wares on display. Many items are so new they’re not in stores, and among the 20 finalists in the Innovations Showcase, the best in class according to a panel of judges, was a method for putting photos on shoes. Chicago-based Shoe Attitude partnered with Kodak to create a $ 1 9.95 kit in which images can be transferred to a light, clear paper and glued to sneakers. You can download art from the Internet or use photos in your computer and strap them on. They’re like decals, only tougher.
