Never mind that a storm had caused the ocean temperature to plunge from mid-60s to the upper 50s over the weekend. A few hardy souls were still taking a dip in the Pacific on Sunday.

San Clemente is basking in balmy, sunny weather this week, but with one big difference from a week ago. If you go to the beach, step gingerly as you approach the ocean.
The water temperature, which was in the mid-60s last week, has dropped into the 50s and has a bite to it, the result of a storm that hit Friday into Saturday. The storm left less than a half-inch of rain, but produced strong winds. Overnight lows are dipping into the 40s.
The National Weather Service is forecasting mild days the rest of the week, except for a slight chance of showers Friday.
Here are some scenes on the beach in San Clemente on Sunday.
