Aeromyth Rocks Out an “Ultimate Tribute” Performance
Closest to the real thing for many fans
Aeromyth left fans’ ears ringing with the iconic sounds of Aerosmith at the tribute band’s recent gig – the OC Fair. Performing at The Hangar, Aeromyth not only gave concert goers the reverberation of the real thing, but they looked and acted the part too.

Wed. night, Steven Tyler’s mirror image – Chris Vandahl – not only had the performer’s on stage swagger but also his intense voice, pouty lips, flaying hair, gripping fingers, tiny butt, and glam rock sense of style. Last but not least, the Aeromyth band as a whole also had the look and lyrics that could rock out the all time favorite songs of Aerosmith.

Vandahl and band mates – Karim Elghobashi as Joe Perry, Neal Shelton as Brad Whitford, Robert Warren as Tom Hamilton, and Bob Duda as Joey Kramer – played to the “old school” hearts of attendees, who weren’t afraid to dance out and hand rock their approval of the songs.
Just like any Aerosmith crowd would hope for, Vandahl made his Steven Tyler way down into the crowd several times getting the fans amped for familiar songs like “Angel”, “Livin’ On the Edge”, “Love In an Elevator”, “Same Old Song and Dance”, “Let You Go”, and “Dude Looks Like a Lady.”
On stage, Vandahl’s crisscross spins, accentuated hand movements, microphone stand swings, and nothing but love lean-ins to sing with his band mates where also reminiscent of an Aerosmith performance and gave the crowd the show they wanted to see.
Steven Tyler like screams of “What do you wanna hear?!”, “Yeahhhhh!”, and “Aaaaaaaahhhhh!” where answered with fans' shouts of “Walk This Way!”, Woooh!”, and “We love you!”
The ballad “Dream On” really brought the crowd back to why they took a chance on this tribute band. With fans’ heads rockin’ up and down in lyrical approval, Aeromyth gave the ultimate rendition of the song near the concert’s end.
With only about two hours to play 40 years worth of Aerosmith favorites, the band Aeromyth gave attendees a few of their favorites to remember them by and to perhaps look forward to seeing them again. Especially with such affordable concert ticket costs – like the OC Fair's $15 a person for the Hangar performances.
