Highest paid actor in Hollywood? Tom Cruise
Highest paid actor in Hollywood? Cruise
Tom Cruise may not have Katie Holmes anymore, but he can still show you the money.
Forbes magazine, which is all about the stuff, figures that Cruise was the top-paid actor in Hollywood over the last year, raking in $75 million from May 2011 to May 2012, so do we really have to feel sorry for him?
We know what you’re thinking. Holmes, who filed for divorce last week, is surely going to cut into that take. Not so fast. TMZ reports that the couple had a prenup that makes it pretty clear that Holmes will get virtually nothing.
Other actors that make Forbes Highest-Paid Actors list are Leonardo DiCaprio ($37 million); Adam Sandler (if you call that acting, also $37 mill); and straight down the line through Dwayne Johnson, Ben Stiller, Sacha Baron Cohen, Johnny Depp, Will Smith, Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinnson, all of whom seem in their Forbes pictures (except Wahlberg, the toughie) to be laughing about the obscene piles of dough they’re raking in.
