One Direction adds fourth Staples Center show
One Direction fans — or, more accurately, their parents — had better set aside some of that Black Friday money. You just might need it to buy some concert tickets.
Having already sold out three shows (Aug. 7-9) at Staples Center next summer, the five lads from London, initially joined together via the British version of The X Factor, have tacked on a fourth performance, Aug. 10.
By then, it's entirely likely that mania for the insanely popular boy band will have reached a fever pitch.
Already "Live While We're Young," the first single from 1D's just-released second album, Take Me Home, landed at No. 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. That's the highest debut ever for an English group and the second-highest for a U.K. act overall, behind Elton John, whose international smash "Candle in the Wind 1997," in memory of Princess Diana, entered at No. 1.
Tickets for the latest Staples addition go on sale next Saturday, Nov. 24, at 10 a.m. Prices: $29.50-$89.50.
There are a number of pre-sales, however, including one for fan-club members that begins Friday, Nov. 16, at 4 p.m. and doesn't end until the following Friday at 10 p.m. That same day, Nov. 23, there are three more pre-sales, including access for Citi card-holders and KIIS Club members.
