Director Bobby Farrelly's son dies in O.C.
Jesse Farrelly, the son of director Bobby Farrelly, who with his brother Peter is responsible for comedies such as “Something About Mary,” died of an apparent drug overdose in Costa Mesa on Wednesday, according to TMZ.com and other sites.
The 20-year-old man was picked up by emergency personnel at an apartment and rushed to a hospital where he died.
An official cause of death has not been released yet the initial call for help referenced a possible drug overdose and a statement from the Farrelly family also mentioned Jesse Farrelly’s struggles with drug addiction.
“It is with profound sorrow that we accept the passing of our beloved Jesse following his struggle with addiction,” the family’s statement said. “We fully trust that he is now in the hands of our Lord.”
