Mick Jagger to host 'SNL'

Mick Jagger and his lips are set to host the season finale of “Saturday Night Live.”

The Rolling Stones frontman has never hosted before. He has been a musical guest twice, and will also serve as the musical guest (without the Stones) for the season finale on May 19.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones. Rumors of a celebratory tour have made the rounds and band member Ronnie Wood has said as much that one would happen, but so far there has been no confirmation.

None of the current SNL cast members were born when the group released its first album.

According to Starpulse.com, Jagger, 68, will be the sixth oldest person to host the long-running NBC skit show, right behind Milton Berle and Charlton Heston.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
