Ever wonder about those mosaics on Home Savings buildings?
The Cal State Fullerton Grand Central Art Center is hosting an exhibit on the “Millard Sheets Studio: The Art of Home Savings & Loan.”
An opening reception takes place from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, and a panel discussion takes place on Sunday, May 6 at 2 p.m.
Participants include Adam Arenson of the University of Texas, El Paso; Alan Hess, architecture critic and historian; and Mike McGee, of CSUF. The exhibit continues through June 17.
Hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; and until 10 p.m. first Saturday of the month for the Artwalk. Grand Central Art Center is at 125 N. Broadway.
