Sheen goes after strip club sushi room
Charlie Sheen hasn’t been on our radar much of late but here’s a blip.
Page Six reports that Sheen’s lawyers sent a cease-and-desist letter to a New York gentlemen’s club that had named a room for the actor in which clients could eat sushi off the bodies of barely clad women. A class joint, in other words.
Sam Zherka, president of the company that owns Cheetahs, told Page Six the actor feared that “The Charlie Sheen Room” might damage his “persona.”
Sheen reportedly threatened to sue for millions.
“How could sushi damage Charlie Sheen’s reputation?” Zherka said. “We thought dedicating a room to dine in his honor would help repair and elevate his image. He should have called us up and thanked us.”
“We sent a cease-and-desist letter and they complied,” Marty Singer, Sheen’s lawyer said. “This matter has nothing to do with Sheen’s reputation. You can’t use any celebrity name to promote a business without permission.”
