Outrageous celebrity antics of the week

News bulletin: KCBS and KCAL have weather babes. Jackie Johnson, as every red-blooded American man knows, handles the weather on KCBS, where all channel surfing stops when she coos about low clouds and fog. Evelyn Tate is the KCAL climate guru, also easy on the eyes. Attorney Gloria Allred doesn't like it one bit. She doesn't even like us talking this way. She apparently wants to take the fun out of weather. In an exclusive report, Radar Online is saying that Allred has filed a lawsuit on behalf of one Kyle Hunter, a weatherman certified by the American Meteorological Society, who wanted jobs at the stations but was cruelly denied. “KCAL and KCBS decided to hire young attractive women as weather broadcasters in prime time rather than men in order to induce more men to watch their prime time newscasts,” the lawsuit alleges. “It is important because although most victims of gender discrimination are female, men such as Kyle Hunter can also be victims and they are also protected from sex and age discrimination under the law,” Allred told the site. On his demo reel (you can see it online), Hunter looks all right, we suppose, if that's your thing. He has nice teeth. But so does Jackie. We're torn.
