A brief history of the bobblehead craze

You haven't really arrived until you've been cast in bobblehead form. The Albert Pujols doll will be given out to every fan who walks through the gate for Tuesday night's 7:05 game against the A's. At left is the 1999 Willie Mays bobblehead that started the resurgence in popularity of the collectible. "We thought this thing would burn out by the year 2000, and here it's going strong," said Mario Alioto, the San Francisco Giants' senior VP of revenue.
