SCR play about black taxi stand hits home for actor, director

Director Ron OJ Parson works with some of the actors of "Jitney," an August Wilson play about taxi drivers in Pittsburg opening at the South Coast Repertory Theatre May 11th. "Jitney" was written early in Wilson's 10-play cycel about the black experience in 20th-century America. Originally it was a one-act play.
