The north shore was cold, (for Hawaii) mostly dark, windy and sometimes heavy rain, but that did not stop the Hawaiians from going out and catching a few. Not a lot of the touring guys or the Orange County crew hit the water today. Tomorrow will start the first day of competition for the Vans World Cup of Surfing at Sunset Beach.
