Coroner: Valium, alcohol killed painter Kinkade

Thomas Kinkade is pictured in 2004 at the Grand Central Art Center's theater in Santa Ana. Kinkade had a major exhibition at that space and Cal State Fullerton's Main Art Gallery in 2004. The self-described "painter of light" died April 6 from accidental overdose of alcohol and prescription tranquilizers, according ot the Santa Clara County coroner.
