Alfred Molina relishes 'role of a lifetime' in L.A.

Jonathan Groff and Alfred Molina in the Tony-winning play “Red." Molina: “Many, many years ago, when I was a student, I had a girlfriend who had a Mark Rothko poster in her bedroom. It was associated with an exhibition that had been in New York.
“I remember looking at the poster and saying, ‘It’s just black.’ And she said to me, ‘Well, there’s all different kinds of black.’ I remember thinking, ‘Hmmm, curious.’”
